Branch Manager

JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT / POSITION OBJECTIVE

  • State briefly the principle purpose of the job, i.e. the reason for the existence of the job within the Organization.
  • To develop, manage and implement branch and annual business growth plan for both deposits and lending.
  • To manage staff and implement polices related to the bank.
  • Develop and implement branch annual business growth plan (deposits & lending)
  • Maximize income collection streams to achieve targets set for each income stream.
  • Ensure all revenue due to the bank is duly collected with zero income leakage.
  • Manage operational costs within budget.
  • Budget preparation and monitoring to ensure availability of adequate resources to optimize branch business operations.
  • Efficient maintenance and optimum use of bank resources and assets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • State the end results the job is responsible for achieving, i.e., the end-outputs against which the incumbent’s success in the job could be measured.
  • Ensure branch services meet organizations operational and service delivery standards.
  • Ensure budgets and revenue collection are made according to the budget estimates.
  • Develop and implement branch annual business growth plan (deposits & lending).
  • Maximize income collection streams to achieve targets set for each income stream.

Operational Roles

  • Oversee day to day office administration – opening/closing/arming/disarming.
  • Joint Custodian of safe and vault

STAFF JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Maintain checks and controls for all areas of responsibility to ensure operational standards are in place all the time.
  • Ensure efficient quality customer service deliver in all departments within the branch.
  • Signing vouchers and authorization of all batches/limits with appropriate approvals.
  • Ensure security of bank assets
  • Authorization of new accounts and closure of accounts
  • Supervision of branch staff
  • Submission of returns/statements
  • Authorization of expenditure vouchers
  • Custody of documentary collection
  • Custody of loan documents
  • Safe custody of daily vouchers
  • Counter signing all letters/communication from the branch both internally
  • EXPERIENCE Over 10 years is banking and business management

Relationship Manager

JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT / POSITION OBJECTIVE

  • State briefly the principle purpose of the job, i.e. the reason for the existence of the job within the Organization.
  • Acquire new clients through developing professional relationships based on trust, credibility, and ethical conduct.
  • Advise corporate clients on their personal financial needs.
  • Recommend suitable in-house ‘off the shelf’ financial solutions and execute clients’ instructions on their banking and financial transactions.
  • Perform acceptance background checks and on-boarding of corporate clients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Perform ongoing servicing of corporate client accounts and identify any potential opportunities for extending basic banking services.
  • Provide account relationship administrative support to new and existing customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • State the end results the job is responsible for achieving, i.e. the end-outputs against which the incumbent’s success in the job could be measured.
  • On-boarding of clients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Business development by increasing earnings for corporate banking, facility uptake as well as utilization of bank products through cross-selling.
  • Advising clients on their personal financial needs and objectives by analyzing their financial needs and objectives.
  • Manage client relations in terms of growth and retentions.
  • Resolve customer complaints quickly and effectively.
  • Collect vital data relevant to the Bank’s account opening requirements from new customers.
  • Drafting corporate credit proposals and making recommendations to the credit committee.
  • Follow up on credit proposals, letter of offer, excess requests, notification of excesses and securities with Credit department.
  • Monitor relationships and attend to all queries relating to relationship accounts.
  • Contribute to various initiatives and any other tasks as assigned by senior management team.
  • Maintain quality corporate asset and liability books by ensuring timely collection on arrears and excesses.
  • Actively support deposit mobilization initiatives.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned by immediate supervisor from time to time.

EXPERIENCE

  • Over 6 years is banking and business management

  • University degree in business related field preferably sales and marketing.
